The mock jury was quite informative and gave us a wealth of information about theories, presentation style and arguments which might be accepted or rejected by a jury.
Beyond that, the other information developed by the Harbinger team in prepping for the exercise was a valuable tool in starting the process and then developing our goals for jury selection and the trial strategy.
As advocates, we often get too close to the facts and are now mindful of the alternative perspective which Harbinger provided through a juror’s eyes rather an advocate’s perspective.
The Mediation on Steroids did not resolve the case, but what I learned from the Mediation on Steroids was very helpful for trial preparation and was positively instrumental in getting the case resolved in the course of trial.
Because of the live juries, the “Mediation on Steroids” combines the closer to real life experience of a mock jury with the traditional “strengths and weaknesses” evaluation done at a common mediation.
I enjoyed the experience, will recommend the experience, and will use the process again.
